Well deserved, after the buggy mess of (the new) Forza ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) /s

You’re demanding too much from them. They burnt a lot of neurons writing that shitty comment.

The irony part is calling someone a clown, when it’s them who built an entire circus on this comment’s section. What a 👑

Thanks for the context. Was this a US thing? Because I don’t remember seeing this in EU 🤔

I’m pretty sure someone will get an excuse or something like: doesn’t bother me too much because I want to play that game, kind of crap.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Looking at the reply they gave you, I would bet my Xbox that it’s a bot account. (Even if I’m wrong, guess I won’t loose too much 😅)

Who would have thought that having your own team/colleagues writing/updating their own engine would rely better results (not always) than using something made from someone else…

The problem is bigger than that. Disclaimer: generalization incoming!

Most game developers are just programmers and nothing else. They know how to write high level languages like C# well enough to write the required functions and that’s it.

Long are the days that devs would need to write their own tools and even engines to put the game running. Some (like Naughty Dog) would even hack the hardware in order to bypass limitations of it.

Yes, there were shitty games made back then , but at least the devs had my admiration. Now, not so much. But this not limited to games, Apps are the same shit. Let’s just use some Chromium framework wrapped as an app and that’s it.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

MT framework (which powered several RE’s, DMC, and other Capcom games was also a damn good engine). And Criterion’s Renderware was also an exception back in PS2 days.

Using your example, unless you’re a masochist why would you want to have a slower death?

You don’t know if someone is being held hostage in a basement, and being threat to death in order to draw some pictures, while being whipped whenever they fail to meet the daily quota. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Tick_Dracy,

Damn… if you find any info (article) about that, share it. I would like to know more details about that.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

What is that? Is that a meme or something?

Either way, the solution for that is here. If you’re one of the poor souls that still enjoy using the Google Search, you can use Startpage, I guess.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

That’s like saying Brave is the same as Chrome, just because it’s using the Chromium engine. DDG is not Bing. It uses Bing’s search engine!

Yes, I use it on iOS (sometimes).

Yeah, a single test which has been done before to all the other iPhones models. But okay, I’ll also give the benefit of the doubt… for now!

Tick_Dracy,

Maybe, just maybe, there hasn’t been enough time to gather that data, since it was released just a few days ago?

I honestly don’t care about the downvotes, especially on a community called apple enthusiast.

Most of these people are hardcore fans, or blindly follow the brand without questioning them.

Even though I have an iPhone, iPad, MacBook and an Apple Watch, I’ll never be a follower of any brand. Fuck them all! They all care about profits. People that really care about the product (like the Wozniak and Jobs) are the ones that deserve the credits (even with their faults).

The Man Amazon Erased (www.tabletmag.com)

Jackson soon discovered that Amazon suspended his account because a Black delivery driver who’d come to his house the previous day had reported hearing racist remarks from his video doorbell. In a brief email sent to Jackson at 3 a.m., the company explained how it unilaterally placed all of his linked devices and services on...

Yeah okay. Pretty sure you know a lot of experts.

Tick_Dracy,

Chill out crappy redditor. You don’t need to be rude. It wasn’t me to went for the milk and left you ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Okay you’re an security expert, we get it. Unfortunately we don’t have gold here to award you, so that you can keep that erection for longer…

Tick_Dracy,

I’ve tried a few, but for now Voyager seems the best (and the most identical to Apollo). Yet, not a single one has my favourite Apollo feature, which was to share (chains of) comments as pictures. I think the first one who gets this right, is the one I’ll settle with (⌐■_■)

Tick_Dracy,

What does Keep has, that any mediocre note app can’t do? It’s probably one of the most irrelevant Google Apps, when talking about replacements.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Given the downvotes, this community should change it’s name to apple_fanboy!

Deal with it (⌐■_■)

Tick_Dracy,

An official repair center did, right? At least where I’m from you can only get service from authorized centers.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

You are partially right, but in my country, Apple doesn’t have official stores. The only way to get Apple devices repaired is through authorised partners. I don’t know if might be the same in this case…

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Is this fixable, or it’s an issue with Safari’s PWA implementation?

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Maybe it was because of the “Sent with Spark” signature, on the Free version? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Since most comments seem like typical Reddit crap, saying to uninstall Facebook(I know they are supposed to be jokes, but let’s be real, they are not even funny) ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The best solution I’ve found so far for that issue is the application Friendly.

You can hide posts based on Keywords, in this case just add the word Sponsored to it. Just pay special attention that if you use FB with another language you have to use your local word, instead of Sponsored (eg: Patrocinado).

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

I agree with you. I barely use FB because of that. But I don’t think those help the OP at all…

@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

You sure about that? I’ve decompressed huge files, some time ago, using a 3.5” HDD and if it were like that, it would take much longer than needed because of that overlay you talk about.

And it took the same time as WinRar (͡•_ ͡• )

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Have you tried PeaZip? It’s algo very good. It’s what I use on MacOS.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

PeaZip is algo very good and has dark mode. I still prefer 7zip on Windows, but on MacOS is my elected choice.

Tick_Dracy, (edited )
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

I didn’t downvoted your post, I just made a genuine question, since I’ve never noticed that. I’m just sceptic on what you mentioned. Whenever I have some free time, I’ll try to do a deep test on that one!

Edit: No need to do a test, since I never use drag n drop (like mentioned on another comment), my test would always show the same outcome as WinRAR.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

This is the right answer! Since I never used drag and drop I wasn’t ever aware that this was an issue.

According to the FAQ:

Why does drag-and-drop archive extraction from 7-Zip to Explorer use temp files?

7-Zip doesn’t know folder path of drop target. Only Windows Explorer knows exact drop target. And Windows Explorer needs files (drag >source) as decompressed files on disk. So 7-Zip extracts files from archive to temp folder and then 7-Zip notifies Windows Explorer about >paths of these temp files. Then Windows Explorer copies these files to drop target folder.

To avoid temp file usage, you can use Extract command of 7-Zip or drag-and-drop from 7-Zip to 7-Zip.

Tick_Dracy, (edited )
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

No, it isn’t! Especially if you want to edit files inside a .zip, which that tool doesn’t seem capable to do it, nor creating multiple individual files… Also, if you just want to browse a package to see what it’s inside, the GUI does a piss poor job showing you the files/folders.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

I’ve updated packages of RAR files in the past, by adding new files into the container itself ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Well these benchmarks might seem a bit biased, since they are made by the dev, but I took the time to read them, and they seem very neutral and unbiased.

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, but on Linux/MacOS doesn’t have a GUI ಥ_ಥ

Tick_Dracy,
@Tick_Dracy@lemmy.world avatar

I also use Vinegar, alongside SponsorBlock on Safari. Best combo there is 😎
