Squizzy,

As someone who has a very small selection of games they like, play God of War. I never played any of them before the 2018 game and I loved it. I start it again and play through like once a year to 100%. Only game I ever 100%ed.

Loved RDR and GTA but not much else has kept my interest anyway close to GoW except maybe Hitman.

Squizzy,

What is the difference to vacation and personal days?

Squizzy,

Bill Gates does some genuinely great things for humanity.

Squizzy,

I agree with you but he’s not on the same page as Steve Jobs, not in my book. Billionaires can’t exist in a fair system so they’re existence isn’t justified but comparatively speaking he is better than Jobs

We may have better computers but Malaria may be more of an issue, whereas without Jobs nothing of note would be missing other too many biopics.

Is Congress Going to Kill Credit Card Rewards? (www.nerdwallet.com)

Legislation known as the Credit Card Competition Act, first introduced in Congress in 2022, is described by its sponsors as encouraging “competition in electronic credit transactions.” But if lawmakers end up passing the measure, opponents say it could also torpedo the rich rewards and perks that cardholders have enjoyed for...

Squizzy,

Why pay extra when you could legislate

Squizzy,

Tyre width relates to grip and handling does it not?

Squizzy,

You’re part of the problem with this over dramatic tripe

Squizzy,

What infighting?

Squizzy,

Seek help

Squizzy,

I only see you calling people names, shit talking dick head springs to mind.

Squizzy,

It’s insane to have him reply to me as though I am him

Squizzy,

Why? Does it personally affect you?

Squizzy,

I didn’t realise he ever was either of those.

Squizzy,

I am hopeful that this is good, I don’t get why people are upset about this. It’s streaming, if it doesn’t work who cares.

Squizzy,

Blocking people is essential, I’ve blocked tons of people and communities on here already

Squizzy,

I got it and I’m trapped in a weird bubble of shit that doesn’t really interest me and I don’t like microblogging I think

Squizzy,

Physical isn’t much good if you can’t pop it in and play, lots of games need day one updates to be playable.

Squizzy,

Don’t listen to Joe Rogan because he platforms morons and so forth

Squizzy,

I’d occasionally visit on a work pc to put an album or book on but the homepage recommendations are so bad looking it’s all like very samey cringey thumbnails. I’d be delighted if that was gone.

Squizzy,

They buy with stolen credit cards, sell at a loss which is all profit to them. Cars are legit, but they didn’t pay for them. Markdown price is all profit

Squizzy,

I get why this is something that comes to mind but the idea is changing the way things are done to pay the labour more of the value of the product they produce.

Squizzy,

You should also be paid more, you have been instrumental in creating billions in wealth for people who cannot do what you can do, you should get more.

Squizzy,

Don’t know, I won’t click the link.

Squizzy,

It’s a pain in the hole having to register on other instances to vote and save posts though

Is Google having a total breakdown right now???

So, I’m sure we all know about the WEI thing at this point, which is bad and weird enough; and also the sudden move to block ad-blockers on YouTube. I don’t know how that’s going to work out, but it’s pretty irritating. Not to mention, going to the gym, coming home, and suddenly getting loads of fitness-related ads piled...

Squizzy,

Oh the sign in prompt is everywhere, can’t watch porn without being recommended to sign in with your Google. Even in incognito it suggests it.

Have you noticed spotify removing stuff from your liked songs list?

For a few months now while listening to spotify I’ve noticed a song will come up and I’ll think “I thought I already ‘liked’ this song?” But wasn’t positive because sometimes there are multiple issues of the same album (anniversary, remixes etc) so maybe I had liked a different version or something....

Squizzy,

One of my favs got changed to a live version that sucks

Squizzy,

I’m so confused by the tier list of what is good resolution. I thought AV1 was the best encode at the moment, I’m not concerned with size but resolution. Are these remixes the best for that?

Squizzy,

I play God of War 2018 to chill out, the scenery is great and you can just vibe around.

Cannot find an artefact or realm tear in Midgard at the moment so the wandering is actually putting me off but I would highly recommend this game for a chill out session.

I haven’t played the new one, maybe some day.

Squizzy,

Yeah that was fun, could not pass one of the trials and then I nailed it straight through to getting my ass kicked by the Valkyrie.

Squizzy,

Not always that easy is it, if you want to go out you have to find a place that advertises their no tipping policy. It’s go and don’t tip or stay at home or else take part in a shit system.

Squizzy,

It’s gotten to the point now where I won’t start a show unless I know it’s getting an ending.

Series arcs are a pain too, not everything needs it.

Severance and The Bear are two recent shows that pulled it off, Severance needs to land the season 2 though.

Squizzy,

30 years later, after some very public mental health struggles. She was a humanitarian with a big heart and a lot of courage. Don’t try a take away from a dead woman’s accomplishments because of personal choices toward the end of her life.

Squizzy,

She studied theology and was the victim of institutional abuse, she was better educated on this than most and sought out a higher purpose. I can’t denigrate her for that. I’m an atheist but I won’t judge someone who sought refuge from an abusive and horrible past.

Squizzy,

I think she was principled, it doesn’t mean she wasn’t looking forward she was setting herself aside in favour of a justified cause in her eyes. It was selfless not poor forethought.

Squizzy,

Inheritance is antithetical to meritocracy is the basis for generational wealth and capitalist dynasties.

Everything must go, use it lose it.

Squizzy,

Well at the moment that’s what we accept and then they set the rules for industry, hardly much added danger in letting them be the industry? More direct rule for the people.

Squizzy,

It’s impossible to uncouple society from capitalism. It’s not a possibility, but it definitely could work. Maybe capitalism just needs longer than communism to fail?

The wealthiest country in the world has unaffordable healthcare and homelessness, how is that capitalism working?

Squizzy,

So what are all those people without kids doing?

Make a better world, build a stronger economy for them excel in and make their own way. I plan on providing the very best for my children to let them go about their life as they see fit and not have to rely on something I might pass down.

Corrupt governments is a cop out statement too, ideally you wouldn’t stand for government corruption.

Squizzy,

How much of a mess do you make as one person? It’s not a hotel or catering to anyone it’s just a home.

Squizzy,

I’m sure it was lovely but watercress and other nonsense garnish drive me crazy

YSK: Signal is a great secure private messenger app comparable to others on the market. (restoreprivacy.com)

“When you use Signal, your data is stored in encrypted form on your devices. The only information that is stored on the Signal servers for each account is the phone number you registered with, the date and time you joined the service, and the date you last logged on.”...

Squizzy,

I just absolutely do not trust google.

That said I convinced a member of my family to join signal and we text on there for a bit and then the connection broke. Like we could not text anymore nothing would go from me to them it would just stay in limbo as sent.

Squizzy,

Fingers crossed for Relay for Lemmy
