For many system shoppers it’s a good-for-nothing system

that classifies as opposites stupidity and wisdom.

because by logic-choppers it’s accepted with avidity;

stupidity’s true opposite is the opposite stupidity.

I’m down for it.

I’m going to suck at it, but I’m down for it. TwT

How flavorful were the potatoes inside? Did the bacon flavor actually sink in?

Bouncing between Xenoblade 2, WoW classic, BotW, and Gregtech. I have little time on weekdays- only an hour or two to screw around before work.

I 100% agree and just wanted to build off this comment if that’s alright.

Another side of this is hedonism vs fulfillment. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying hedonism, so long as one isn’t harming themselves or others in the process. But living purely to satiate one’s hedonism tends to lead to a sense of hollowness or unfulfillment.

In addition to letting go of non-destructive hedonistic shame, it’s important to take time to introspect and find what brings a person genuine fulfillment.

DMs, what are your favorite parts of running this game? Players, what are yours?

I’ve started running Curse of Strahd and have been having a ton of fun making wacky homebrew things for my party and tweaking the module. Unbeknownst to the players so far, I have made them all a secret Dark Power trying to use them to usurp Strahd and Vampyr, and they’re just waiting to offer their dark gift....

For me on either side the sentiment can be summarized by moments of “holy shit. That just happened…”

Plans going perfect, plans going awry, shocking acts of RNG, excellent performances of narrative or improv.

I have a very hard time not going Breton. They’re a jack of all trades and their magic resist is hard not to pick.

It also doesn’t hurt that a lot of the other racials are pretty useless and most of the rest are easily replaceable. Kajit claw damage is a notable exception for unarmed playthroughs (though that also is pretty niche), and there’s just… something about playing a Nord in Skyrim.
