I am using Syncthing and am happy with it. Syncing my notes, and more, between my phone and two laptops without any issues. I like that I don’t need a server like with nextcloud.
IMHO, you should have at least a basic knowledge to start with videos. I.e. know some basic grammar and know some hundred most frequent words. Then start with videos targeted to learners or for children.
