@imperfectcognitions @philosophy Thanks a lot. 🤗 Nevertheless, I kind of like silence. The universe and outer space is full of that, why not people, at least sometimes? Silence is not the same as death. Most of all I fear the medicalization of silence(s), which philosophers, of course, do no allow to happen. 😉

@imperfectcognitions @philosophy I read that as a scientific philosopher, mainly epistemologist, suffering from AD, and beacuse of that immersed somewhat in neurology, psychology and philosophy of memory.

Does not sound convincing. You pick up exceptions and make a case based on those. Reliability condition supported with some kind of robustness may still be a valid choice.

Also, I'd like to read about the more general epistemological percussions of the proposal. It's easy to rock the boat if you are not one of the rowers. (The article-link shows only the Abstract.)

@lisabortolotti @ethics @philosophy The curiosity contributrion sounds interesting more generally. Too bad busy people seldom have cognitive-emotional space for such.

Eitenberger's part touches personally; with AD I have had to study neurology to get rid of the credibility deficit. AlzForum, e.g., functions as my backrest in interactions with specialists (though I have to write something down in advance).

I find myself not understanding the concept of atheism. Who wants to explain it to me in a coherent way for a beginner? With a metaphysical substantiation please, if that is at all possible.
