They have already started showing ads of the game. It certainly looks pretty but nothing shown, so far, is technically impressive or even indicative of any actual game behind the visuals. Unless they plan to release it soon, this just feels like building up a huge hype train years ahead of launch and that they haven’t learned their lesson from NMS.
It doesn’t have “it.” I don’t know what “it” is, but I know Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 had “it” and somehow Starfield does not. It is completely devoid of that “it” factor that their other games had, even if it has everything else those games had and more. It is still missing the crucial “it.”
It’s not in the rules, but it makes sense. It also does have rules about taking an automatic 10 for low DC stuff, which you usually only do if even a roll of 1 would succeed so it gives a good trade off having nat 1s be a failure even in skill checks when the player opts to roll instead of taking a 10.
