It’s a bit wild how petty Bethesda comes off as. It’s like they’d rather spend a bunch of money to convince people their games are still good instead of, you know, trying to make good games.
It’s hard to do that officially when a big chunk of users are minors. Neither Twitch nor the streamers of this content want to admit that they make money serving softcore porn to kids. Cause that’d be weird.
Seems like the conclusion of the article ends up admitting luck plays a large role. Oh no, the buffoons who mismanaged the company so badly that scores of people are laid off have to be fired! Now who will fuck things up while making off with tons of cash?
In this same vein I actually want Starfield to be even more immersive. When I take off in search of a new planet, I want to leave my computer on for 700 years while my ship travels through space.
What do you mean that’s stupid and boring? It’s real.
Asking the question here allows a conversation to happen, informs others that SearXNG is a thing and provides additional context.
If everyone just looked everything up on their own, there wouldn’t be much of a forum here for you to go and wag your finger at people asking questions.
If you want more reasons about why allowing people to ask questions is beneficial for the health of a community, you can go google it.
While this is a reasonable take, it ignores the fact that many modern video games (unlike the other things you listed) are specifically designed to be incredibly addictive while the marketing and PR does everything to belie this fact.
My absolute favorite bit is that an in-game LFG is incredibly complex, while pretty much every other multiplayer game has this figured out. How totally fucked is their codebase that seemingly every feature is some gargantuan project they can’t figure out?
