‘Exception for male dairy calves, production is predominantly pastoral-based, with young stock spending relatively brief portions of their life in feedlots. ’
Almost all cattle spends some time on feedlots, as grain improves the meat close to slaughter. Ignore these sites that give the false impression that almost all cows are raised in feedlots. It is blatantly incorrect and obvious to anyone that drives outside the city and looks out of the window.
Local mass transit should be free. It is already really heavily subsidized, often almost entirely subsidized, so it wouldn’t cost as much as you think.
A lot of ads should be banned for environmental reasons alone. From junk mail, lit up signs, eyesore billboards, and all the power wasted in digital ads.
It would be nice if you could block a community directly from the front page without having to navigate to it first. Whole instances would also be useful.
Delivering small chunks of functionality is much better than waterfall in a major project. Big waterfall projects can spend so long in analysis and design that they get cancelled before they really get started.
The real issue with “Agile” is that short term task level estimates are pointless and inaccurate. You can’t estimate really until you understand the task, know who is doing it, their area of expertise and skill level, and how focused they will be without being pulled into other projects, questions etc.
Delivering regularly without micromanagement, removing scope to shorten deliveries, and providing very high level project estimates make more sense.
I have tried these. They are expensive to run as you need to burn through a tank of propane each month. They do catch some mosquitoes, but they make little overall difference.
In personal experience there has been a big rise of Linux on the server and more people being forced to get used to it. Docker is pushing this along even more now. We are seeing the continued rise in osx and improvements in the Linux desktop. Moving away from windows is becoming more acceptable now, even in corporations. This will continue!
How about bass questions within this community? I don’t play bass, but many play both and there is no doubt a lot of crossover and general interest in the questions.
