Why is Linux so frustrating for some people?

Don’t get me wrong. I love Linux and FOSS. I have been using and installing distros on my own since I was 12. Now that I’m working in tech-related positions, after the Reddit migration happened, etc. I recovered my interest in all the Linux environment. I use Ubuntu as my main operating system in my Desktop, but I always end...

CoupleOfConcerns,

Contrary to what is often claimed Linux may in fact be better for people with realtively simple needs. I basically use Linux to run a browser and Steam and don’t run into many problems on a day to day basis.

CoupleOfConcerns,

It’s frustrating when so often techy people produce something but don’t go the slight extra distance to anticipate the needs of normal people getting inducted into using the software. You see it all the time.

CoupleOfConcerns,

In New Zealand cookie usually means either home baked or home baked style biscuits / cookies (e.g. chocolate chip cookies). Biscuit usually means all other types generally bought at the shop (e.g. chocolate coated etc.). I genuinely suspect the Cookie Monster influenced this distinction.
