Night On Bald Mountain is one of the first tone poems of Russian origin. It tells the story of witches gathering in a mass and having a sabbath for Satan. This piece was so metal when Mussorgsky wrote it that he couldn't get his version - this version - performed.
Post-punk is a reaction to the punk movement of the 70s - 80s. It features more elaborate production, depressive themes and gothic instrumentation (often angular and sharp). This genre is one of my absolute favorites.
