#OnThisDay in #history - in 1724, Maria Antonia Walpurgis Symphorosa was born in #Germany - fascinated and talented at #music#performance and #composition from an early age, she was made a member of Accademia dell’Arcadia of Rome in 1747. Maria published her operas anonymously under the name EPTA. Through marriage she was Electress of #Saxony and was regent for her son from 1763-1768. She died in Dresden, aged 55. #OTD#histodons@royalhistory@histodons
