Indeed, this is also the case for anything packaged with #Nix; we have over 99% reproducibility and are not planning on giving that up. Also, Nix forbids network access during compilation; there will be no clandestine queries to OpenAI.
After much failure with trying to get my #haskell#sdl2 project running with #nix, I find the workaround is to use an environmental variable to set SDL_RENDER_DRIVER=software and skip using drivers entirely, I guess?
I’ve installed arch Linux and liked it, but lfs and Gentoo would be too time consuming compiling everything and not doing anything during and after install. Are there any distros like arch that don’t have me compiling everything?
