Ex-cop Becca Hills, haunted by her past, flees her drug-dealing family and a cheating ex. With her son's safety at stake, can she confront both her demons and her heart?
I recently #read Vines by Brynne Asher (#book 1/The Killers). The unusual title is really not all that mysterious past chapter 2. Add an ex-Secret Service cop to someone who should never have moved so close to DC to a #romance and there’s bound to be danger and mayhem. Wish she had made friends with the ghost haunting her Ordinary, though. Loose thread, that was. #reading#books#romancebooks#romancelandia#bookstodon@romancebooks https://amzn.to/3qVJaZy
For Day 22 of #RomanceAwarenessMonth, I want to share another pair of #RomanceBooks where a side character in the first book gets to have their full story told in the second: Roni Loren's "Off The Clock" has Elle as the "villain"/OW but in "By The Hour" we get to understand this "ice queen" and see how her relationship with Lane develops. Both books are 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Forever Pub sent me #gifted copies of Betting on a Good Luck Cowboy & Second Chance at the Orchard Inn to share in the #littlefreelibrary ! I know some romance lovers who are gonna be happy to find them 😁
Day 19 of #RomanceAwarenessMonth and I would like to hear about your favourite #FakeDating#FakeRelationship#RomanceBooks! One of mine is Annika Martin's "The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée". Rex & Tabitha's story is funny and warm, but there's also sadness because of Tabitha's past. Rex also has to do some grovelling... Honourable mention to "D'Vaughn & Kris Plan A Wedding" by Chenica C Higgins for nailing this trope 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Although I do write in this genre, and do enjoy most stories I do read, this upcoming article stems from a couple dozen articles I came across during my research process for a character but serves as an honest answer to "why men should read romance" and some tips to get those male readers!
Twelfth day of #RomanceAwarenessMonth and it's way past time for me to love on Ruby Dixon and her #Risdaverse series! We meet a variety of FMCs, from shy to strong, dealing with Aliens in these books. Humour and sexy times make this series a firm favourite, but most of Ms Dixon's books are fab TBH.
Happy Friday! Day 11 of #RomanceAwarenessMonth and let’s talk about ALIENS! Have you read “Strange Love” by Ann Aguirre, the first book in the Galactic Love series? The heroine is a human from Earth who is abducted with her dog and the hero is… not human. No spoilers but this is such a delightful romance about two lonely people overcoming so many hurdles to get their HEA.
Of Love and Libraries is a sweet second chance romcom which smells like books, cinnamon and apple cider. It is the story of two women who reconnect after decades.
A former cop with a dark past, Becca Hills is on the run from her drug-dealing family and her cheating ex. She has a son to protect, but her past is catching up with her. Can she find the courage to face her enemies and her heart?
Yes, people have differing opinions. Yes, we're not all going to like the same books. That's great. But some of the reasons were "read 2 pages; hated it." Have we become so used to the same old shit (20 something creatives with shitty bfs who live in NYC) that something new seems odd? CAN WE NOT EXPAND OUR HORIZONS?? @bookstodon#romancebooks#romancelandia#AmReading
