My FediWatch tool is still in very alpha stage, but if you feel lucky, try out https://watch.metalhead.club and watch our instance communicate with the rest of the Fediverse :)
(server-to-server communication only - user data is not analyzed!)
@yourfutureex 😢 that's bad. I would have assumed that it was delivered already. It's EU, soo... Hm.
Maybe it was delivered to a package shop. I sent it via DHL in Germany, who will give it to Magyar Posta. Maybe it is ready to picked up in one of their shops?
@schm43cky@loewe haha :D There will be another round, but that won't be before some months have passed probably. It's quite time consuming and I'll need to proceed with some other tasks for the next weeks.
But: I'll let you know when I'm planning another pre-order period.
I think it's totally great that you guys independently always remember to throw some money into the donation pot. So I don't have to beg much at all to fund the server and other stuff for metalhead.club and trashserver.net :)
Passt perfekt 🤘 Ein grosses Dankeschön an unseren Verwalter @thomas 😃
We have lost 8 % of active users in the last 4 weeks. Not sure why. Maybe it's due to less activity because holiday season in Germany is over. :thaenkin:
@schm43cky unfortunately I have not set up long term stats tracking, yet. I don't have exact numbers. But I remember that there has been declining numbers several times, so that's not unusual.
Preparing the new #Mastodon Release 4.2 by re-enabling the full text search on metalhead.club and re-indexing all the data.
Note that this is still the "old" FTS which is limited to your own posts.
The advanced, new version will be deployed tomorrow - if the indexing process has finished until then ... ;-) Otherwise I'll need to postpone the upgrade to 4.2 for a day or two.
@bjo Elasticsearch, because it seems to be the recommended one. No time for experiments ;-)
Maybe I'll look at Opensearch some time. I'm curious if it has any adventages over Elastic, yet? But I guess it's mostly a license advantage for some hosters (Elastic as a service) right now?
