knfrmity, in Early stages of Ukrainian counteroffensive ‘not meeting expectations,’ Western officials tell CNN

The imperial managers are looking for a way out, so they're slowly allowing mainstream media to report some semblance of the truth, namely that Ukraine has absolutely no chance without participating in peace negotiations in good faith.

digitalgadget, in Deadly Fungal Infections Confound Doctors—‘It’s Going to Get Worse’

This happened to me on a smaller scale.

I had a sinus infection for several years. Doctors threw every antibiotic at me and nothing stuck. Was told to take antihistamines and see if it cleared up.

I ended up with a bunch of dental cavities from dry mouth and said Enough - I got an appointment with another doctor and pleaded with them for a different prescription. Antifungal. A week later it was gone.

Tyson712, in Early stages of Ukrainian counteroffensive ‘not meeting expectations,’ Western officials tell CNN

Big problem is the Russian air force has been holding off for just this moment. Low flying helicopters and drones are hard to hit and doing significant work defending the lines. It's why we've seen a lot of helicopters downed in the last week too.

Give it time, there'll be a solution eventually.

Who would have thought! I totally didn’t see this coming! I’m absolutely not being sarcastic!

meteotsunami, in Early stages of Ukrainian counteroffensive ‘not meeting expectations,’ Western officials tell CNN

Although disappointing, not entirely unexpected. Assaulting and defending are two different things and without air or artillery superiority, the assault phase is even more difficult. So these lads are pressing in on well prepared defensive lines without a ton of battle space preparation. Hopefully, they can perform well enough, and violently enough to overcome the typical 3:1 requirement for beaching and destroying fortified positions.

“It’s wild how little of what’s happening is being chronicled,”

Sorry Putin, Ukraine will not tell you its military plans!

dontcallmewoody, in Workplace sins: US restaurant used fake priest in ‘shameless’ wage theft scheme

In what the labor department described as “among the most shameless” efforts to intimidate workers that investigators have seen, the owners of Garibaldi also brought in a fake priest to conduct confession sessions with employees. Once employees sat with the “priest” they were peppered with work-specific questions and asked whether they had any ill feelings toward their employers or had spoken negatively about them to anyone, including investigators.

This is wild. Owner should go to jail for fraud. Employees should take ownership of the restaurant.

How the fuck is 5000$ plus the money you already owe the punishment here, remove the owner and ban them from making any new businesses

altrent, in Sunken boat killing hundreds overshadowed by Titan submersible coverage

So tired to have that sub story popping up in all my feed...

ryknow, in Debris found in search area for missing Titanic submersible

Incase anyone is wondering... Little clip of an implosion

RIP to those who parished. I think most can take solace knowing that if it turns out to be true that it was an implosion, it would have been instant, and the occupants likely felt nothing. .

Irelevant comparison. Must have missed the part where the chilean miners and the cave kids were billionaires too. That's why people cared about those stories. It's not getting coverage cause of the people on it. It's getting coverage because of how idiotic the whole situation was.
