FOSS alternative to google analytics

Hi, I’m curious about an alternative to google analytics. I found some projects on GitHub but I want to know lemmy’s opinion, which one is worth try.

Umami, Plausible, Matomo are first three that have been recommended to me, but I’m not sure about the pricing and tiers …

I want to test it on small scale websites only for now, and also I can run it on my own iron. Not to be dependent on any other company or cloud service is the best thing possible for me personally.

So what repo you found most useful?

Thanks for your advice and opinions. Have a nice one.

Umami is actually pretty great for simple analytics, has 3 websites in their free cloud plan, and is self-hostable. Plausible is also self-hostable. You can host them easily on your own machine with EasyPanel, CapRover, or Coolify

Dug this from my bookmarks. I haven’t tried this myself yet, but it seems neat.

_MusicJunkie,

We have been using Matomo for many years. Can’t tell you that much since we never explored other options, and as IT I don’t really interact with it, but our marketing department is happy with it.
