HexesofVexes, Ah, that would require ethics on the website creator’s behalf - something not really accounted for in lawmaking.
The law already indicated that “regect all” should be at least as easy as accepting all.
AccidentalLemming, If they can be obliged into respecting the cookie consent rules, they can be obliged to honor Do Not Track. It’s just a matter of turning it into law.
MonkderZweite, (edited ) You should disable do-not-track. Nobody follows it and it makes you more trackable nowadays, because it’s only a few % who enable it.

This is why adblockers and the like are basically necessary (also, since i live in a GDPR area, cookie prompts tend to be slightly less annoying)
deleted, I believe this should encourage oil companies to hire someone to protest by gluing thier hands to google’s servers.
They waste energy to put ads and I waste energy to remove them.
SkyeStarfall, Oil companies would love for energy to be wasted. It means more demand for them.
