narc0tic_bird,

So what this article is saying is that existing Lightning ports won’t magically change into USB-C ports.

Rain is wet.

AirPods will probably be updated day one, so as soon as you buy new ones, they’ll be USB-C. Your existing AirPods charge via Lightning just fine, or even wirelessly.

For Apple keyboards and mice it’s pretty much whatever, as they are used stationary in 95% of use cases. Heck, my Razer Viper uses micro USB to charge and and this is probably the first time I’m actively thinking about that fact.

For the MagSafe Battery Pack, it’s actually kind of nice that it uses Lightning, no? This way you can charge both the battery pack and the USB-C iPhone whether you have a Lightning or a USB-C cable (plugging in either one charges both).
