The Creator is Screening @ IMAX A Month Early, Here's Where You Can See It
Everyone says they want more original movies; movies based on fresh ideas, not just the same regurgitated IP content again and again. Then an original movie comes along and the moviegoing public ... ignores it. Well, here's a new chance to fix that. "The Creator" is a sci-fi epic from filmmaker Gareth Edwards, the guy behind "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and "Godzilla." "The Creator" isn't based on a comic book or a TV show. It's not a remake. It's an original idea, and we need more of those! Or so I've been told!
In hopes of getting the word out to the general public, the folks at 20th Century Studios are rolling out a special sneak peek of the film next week, a full month before its release date. This early look will feature IMAX footage from the film as well as a live Q&A with Edwards. But there's a catch: this is only happening in a handful of IMAX theaters across the country, so you may not be able to participate. Sorry.
