Most of my favourite books/movies/TV shows are Sci fi - I love Mary Shelley, slaughterhouse five, annihilation (both the book and the movie), The Thing, x files, the invasion, and the OA. This feels like a pretty wide variety of writing styles when I line them up but 90% of the sci fi I read/watch I just don’t enjoy at all....

What are you some underrated or lesser known science fiction movies that you recommend?...

One of the first movies to leverage the idea of radiation- it came out the same year the Godzilla debuted in Japan, and two years before Godzilla came to the US theaters....

Cautiously optimistic about this one. It’s from the same director as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. The style is a bit different, but it looks interesting. I hope it is more than just cool action sequences in a cool looking environment.
