Am I bent out of shape about the CSAM acronym being hijacked? Yes, yes I am.

@jerry Some acronyms are reserved for a single meaning and any use outside of that meaning should be forbidden. Yes this can happen after an acronym has been in use but then another "single use" meaning becomes mainstream.

With just one toot, @jerry got a slew of curious googlers added to some new lists 😂

@jerry The people behind that acronym need some CBT.

@jerry ....hijacked as in people are maliciously misusing it to refer to benign things, or as in "someone else wants to use it (FOR SOME REASON???) and so alerts and such are being poisoned with bad input"?

@jerry I'm loving the fact that mentioning this is enough to start holy wars.

The same people still use terms 'revenge porn' and 'animal porn' and even 'snuff porn' in which their arguments clearly apply, yet they don't care. IE: It's a made up self-aggrandizing of those who pretend they know better than you.
