Normally I don't cut them open but for once, here goes. #nature #photo #animal #environment Description in the video (follow up post) and photo captions. @plants Cut open. In the middle there's a tiny (actually almost fully developed) gallwasp There we are. Showing the woody structure of the gall "house". Not unlike an edible nut (they're disgusting btw, I tried: no wonder their preferred use was to make clothes dye instead of evening snacks)
