@EU_Commission seems like misinformation. Are you saying that all non-mineral sunscreens producers and sold in the EU are dangerous to use for us? Do you care to elaborate? At least provide some scientific/dermatologist information about the subject…
@EU_Commission It feels really strange that you warn us about harmfull substances that are not banned yet.
I mean warning is better then not warning, however just banning those substances (or highly regulating them) would be an even better approach right?
Why is this not the case yet?
@EU_Commission I learned about 10 years ago I am crazy allergic to the chemical sunscreens after 30 years of breaking out in hives where ever the sun hit the sunscreen. Always thought I was allergic to the sun! The zinc ones are so much nicer. Glad to hear they are better for the environment too.. although my skin would have guessed that other stuff would be bad for nature.
@EU_Commission if this claim is scientifically correct (unlike the fear-mongering around, say, GMOs) then it's the EC's job to ban such chemicals. Environmental and consumer protection are your areas to regulate.
@EU_Commission Don't propagate "personal consumer responsibility". If it is available for purchase, don't complain when people purchase itm If certain chemicals are not safe, they should be regulated. If only there were some kind of multinational trading bloc that could make these kinds of decisions...
@EU_Commission isn't the job of EU Commission to ban harmful goods? Just ban them! If you allow them to be sold in UE, people will rightly assume that they are safe.
@EU_Commission Is there any sunscreen using mineral filters on the market right now? And how can i find them? (is there a easy way except than reading the ingredients?) That’s really interesting 🤔
