So, this all seems horrible.

tl;dr Books, most likely generated by an LLM, were being sold on Amazon under Jane Friedman's name. The same books were added to her Goodreads profile. Amazon initially refused to remove the books. If it's happening to her, it's definitely happening to other authors.

@mazianni This is so horrible like the whole wild development of . Spontaneously I think that the only protection at the moment could be a list of published titles on the author's website? So the fans could check. Most are not organized. And this could also be a violation of personality rights! It is time for laws! @writers
