Looking for a funny story that's been posted before

A few months ago I saw a funny story about a guy who added generics/templates to JavaScript (or maybe TypeScript?) by using runic characters that look like angle brackets to enclose the template parameter, then using a preprocessor to convert the runes, etc. to actual, legal types before compilation. I can’t seem to find it...
