Fixes

  • (EPG) Filters were constructed using timestamps in local server time instead of UTC () (Filters) Date-based filters could be off by a day in some time zones ()
  • (Library) New TV show theme songs would not get downloaded ()
  • (Library) Poster previews in metadata edit screen could become blank if the selected poster failed to download ()
  • (Music) In some cases, less popular tracks were picked in stations. (Packaging) RPM packages are now signed using SHA-512 instead of SHA-1 ().
  • (Photos) The server could exit unexpectedly when reading TIFF or RAW image files ()
  • (Scanner) Movies and TV shows would fail to match when invoked from the scanner CLI ()
  • (Transcoder) Hardware transcoding could fail on Intel Apollo Lake GPUs ()

@BrooklynMan This seems pretty absurdly powerful. I'm going to have to think about eventually actually using hardware transcoding instead of just relying on a VPS with enough cores to go around...

ideally, you want to minimize the amount of transcoding you do at all. most clients nowadays should be able to first play/direct stream just about anything, so, at worst, you’re just remixing which doesn’t really take any resources.

Well, yeah, and I have a good number of clients who are good at setting their quality settings to original and the like, to the point that I haven't had to worry about it.

This is mainly about my idea that I'd only like to have 4k HDR content, and it gets transcoded down appropriately for people's clients/bandwidth (the number of users who are stuck behind shitty 10 mbps xfinity is astounding...)
