The giant Ajinomoto and Silver Swan bottles that adorned expressways in the early 90s
Good thing the giant Jesus statue with the tiny head is still around.

megane_kun, Saan ito banda? I used to be taken on trips to Pampanga in the early 90’s but I don’t really remember those guys.

Not sure of the exact locations, but iirc this was in NLEX between Bulacan and just before Pampanga.
megane_kun, (edited ) Thanks! I think I know why I am not familiar with those, we usually take the Calumpit Pulilan exit (hence, di na kami umaabot sa Candaba viaduct).
I found some FB posts like the one screenshotted below which told me it’s near the NLEX San Fernando exit:
So, yeah, it’s beyond where we usually exit (Calumpit or rarely, San Simon).

pag nauwi ako ng bicol, alam mong Albay na once nakita mo na yung malaking Silver Swan sa gilid nga palayan…
really curious why they make it that big…

Those installations seem solid and well-built too. Mga ilang bagyo at volcanic eruption dinaanan ng mga yan.
