On r/ich_iel, fish memes have a somewhat longer tradition which I think started with someone noticing a fish called “Huso”. Since “Huso” can also be used as an abbreviation of “Hurensohn” and that is of course r/ich_iel’s favorite word, it was exploited quite a bit, giving rise to other fish memes.
