Hey y’all!...
I’m using Google’s but I don’t really like it....
My first idea was to use the Gitea instance of the Free Software Foundation Europe, but T&Cs strongly encourage only projects with direct relation to the FSFE activities, so personal projects don’t seem welcome....
I read that The Internet Archive is having financial and legal troubles, despite being one of the most important projects on the internet....
I’ve come to realize that a lot of foss android apps are pretty outdated and usually abandoned. Is that even safe to use? Like even the fdroid archive repository, are those safe to use? I’m still rather new to the foss world, but in my mind it seems a very outdated app is probably not safe or am I missing something here?

Are there any open-source spotify frontends? If there aren’t, why not?
I have forked a project’s source code on GitHub. The program takes a private key as an input and that key must never leave the client. If I want to share a pre-built executable as a release it is essential that I can prove beyond reasonable doubt that it is built from the published source....
Hi everyone, I’m excited to announce one more release before I take a short break. I have some other stuff starting up, so I won’t be pushing out new features as fast, but I’ll still be around to manage the project. (more at the end)...
I have switched most of my daily apps to FOSS alternatives or privacy adhering closed apps, however I cannot find a suitable replacement to Google Photos, at least not without significant compromises....
How can users confidently verify that a FOSS application is running from its published source code? Is there a easy way to check this, or is this based of checksum and hashes?
I am trying to build a small website. I don’t know how to write HTML or JavaScript or CSS. I always hear sponsorships about SquareSpace from content creators such as TheLinuxExperiment. I understand that a website is public information but I want a builder that does not come with any unnecessary trackers, I.E. a noninvasive...

I often observe that people that started a small open source project seem to abandon it sooner or later. I’m guilty of this myself in numerous cases. Reasons there are many probably, from new obligations in life to shifts in interest and whatnot....
I’m unbiased towards the subject. I’m genuinely curious about how long-term FOSS ideology would work....

I’ve used sleek as my primary todo.txt UI for a while now, and I’m really happy with it. If you are interested in a simple, but useful way to put together a todo list in plaintext, the todo.txt spec is a great way to handle it, and sleek is by far the nicest GUI I’ve found....
I want to use pi-hole and it comes highly recommended to use raspberry pi to cover the house and have an always on capability. I started looking at just starter packages at Amazon and they don’t come with a monitor, which it looks like you need. How do I do this? I want a raspberry pi to run pi-hole to protect my house....
I’ve been using the Google Office suite for the past 10 years and been looking for an alternative for a while. Degoogling is a hard process. I mostly use the office suite and the files storage. I teach in college and Univ, so I need to be able to access my files and presentations from different computers. I curently have 200gb...
