Dozens of cancer patients could die as Gaza’s main cancer treatment hospital forced to stop most activities over fuel shortage, UN says

The UN human rights office OHCHR noted that given the high number of civilian deaths and injuries in Gaza “and the scale of the destruction following Israeli airstrikes on Jabalia refugee camp, there are “serious concerns that these are disproportionate attacks that could amount to war crimes.”

sqgl,

Hamas is maintaining a stockpile of more than 200,000 gallons of fuel for the rockets it fires into Israel and the generators that provide clean air and electricity to its network of underground tunnels, according to U.S. officials, current and former Israeli officials and academics.

Israel released photos of Hamas fuel stores however I don’t understand how they can know if there is anything in them.

Maybe night time infrared imagery indicates that full ones retain heat? (And maybe water would retain it differently?). But even if we presume that is possible, why don’t IDF just bomb them if they are so sure it is Hamas fuel?

t3rmit3,

Another day, another Israeli warcrime.

They just bombed another refugee camp and a couple of UN schools today, killing and wounding hundreds, but don’t worry everyone; there was one bad guy in there too!
