merthyr1831, 10 months ago I used a virtual machine to try out different linux systems until I found one I liked. You might like Zorin, Mint, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, or Pop!OS. They’re all very easy to set up and feels a lot like an easier and faster windows installer nowadays.
