I just filled in some small parts on the back with sharpie to just kind of feather out the difference. I thought about doing the whole thing but I realized it would be overkill, and the sharpie smell was starting to get to me lol
Seems like it’s worked well then, if I didn’t already know about the issue I’d never have picked it out from this photo. Hope you never need to wash it 😬
Oh! I just bought that pattern like 2 weeks ago and I’ve been working up the nerve to start it lol! Looks like your making good progress so far! Let me know if it becomes particularly infuriating lol
I decided to tweak the pattern a little and do it on black cloth so as to avoid doing all the black. And maybe letting the characters and rain stand out a little. I’m really not looking forward to figuring out how to do the rain…
I find that light-colored jeans (light blue wash, or something) are so cute for embroidering flowers and bees and silly little things onto. I’ve tried embroidering flowers onto a black jacket I have, but it didn’t look as good. I guess the black was too saturated, or something.
Yeah, that must be it. I don’t have any neon embroidery thread, do you? Just old basic kits from childhood, plus some nice colors I might see in the store and buy individually.
None that are actually neon, but I have some that are pretty close. I know DMC has some true neons that I may end up getting, but I’m in full fall mode with my crafts so everything is pumpkin and olive green and eggplant right now.
And then just spending the next five minutes doing all kinds of weird needle yoga to get the last little bit to work out. Because I know I can get one more stitch. Pretty sure it would be faster to rethread, but… I already know I won’t.
I bust them every time I forget to thread one strand at a time - two just destroys them. Pinching at the narrow end helps but I ended up buying a pack of 100 and not worrying too much.
