I might be a convert to Magic Loop. I normally use DPNs to knit socks, and I knit the first sock of this pair that way. But the pattern is written for ML, so I switched. I’ve tried it before and didn’t like it, but I’ve got better needles now and it’s so much faster. It’s amazing what a difference the ChiaoGoo Red Lace make

@Bridgetrivers @knitting I'm 100% a convert to socks on magic loop. I now knit them toe-up, two at a time, and it's a doddle. The sheer joy of never having second sock syndrome!

@callunavulgaris @Bridgetrivers @knitting do you have a link to a decent explanation how to a heel from the toes up?
Am tempted to switch, but the heel portion deters me.

@CyclesSmiles @Bridgetrivers @knitting Hi. I use the fleegle heel

https://www.knitfreedom.com/blog/fleegle-heel/

It's a short row heel and works a treat for me. I knit socks for my husband who's a big guy heavy on his feet, and for years now the fleegle heel has been just as durable as a standard one.
