@MEMacLean @gardening Not necessarily 'correct', but we don't cut ours back in the fall (zone 5). In the spring, any dead wood that didn't survive the winter gets pruned then. The Annabelle hydrangeas get pruned to about 12" tall in the early spring. That's it. They are pretty low maintenance 🙂
