I don't get why big companys are afraid of open source software....

Is there a platform where regular people can suggest FOSS ideas to developers? I have a great idea and want to contribute to the community. Any recommendations?

Or is this not possible?

So I want to setup a messaging server in my home that works like Telegram or Whatsapp - it should use the local network as we plan on moving around a lot of photos and files between our devices for some projects...

I want to use SearxNG as my daily driver, and I added three instances to my browser’s search engines list. However, I find that all three are down whenever I try to use it, and I inevitably have to look at the list of instances and click the top one just to perform one search. flatjak is a little bash script that installs Flatpak with necessary software center and desktop integrations & enables the all important Flathub repository in Ubuntu & its derivatives. flatjak should work fine on Debian and other Debian based distributions too.
