I made a thai vegetable curry the other day with chickpeas that was so good. There’s a thai restaurant in town that does a curry dish that is topped with raw red onion, and I’ve been super into doing that and tons of lime when I make it too
I have one of these in my fridge! I’m planning on cooking it sous vide though. The bark doesn’t get quite as good but it is so easy and tender when it’s done.
Also Beehaw does not allow users to create their own communities. It helps the communities we have keep more users and activity without having tons of small ones with hardly anyone participating. They add more every once in a while, but for now, you’re in the right place!
How the hell do I properly find and sub?? The only way I’ve learned how to search is by the bottom hamburger menu looking search thing on jerboa… I am so damn lost on this whole system. I can’t wait for a tutorial 😂
I can’t figure out how to do 80% of what I thought I knew!
Hah, I love that.
Unfortunately for you, 90% of marionberries are grown in Oregon. Not sure how widely they're distributed, but you're in the right country at least! Hope you get an opportunity sometime.
If you see sugar kiss/origami/orange candy melon I recommend any of those! Melons are in season right now where I am, and those three are pretty much the best. Honeydew or sliced kiwi make a nice color break too! Then throw in some blueberries and you've got a rainbow!
shoutout to the internet for combining semantics debate and a deeply aholistic understanding of human food culture to create truly one of my least favorite things on here
this site is one of my go tos for when i feel like starting a completely pointless argument 😂 just say "did y'all know pop tarts are technically a type of calzone?" & 30 seconds later you're having the dumbest debate known to man with the entire friend group
Induction is where it's at if you want electric. It works similar to how a transformer works. The stove makes a magnetic field that your cookware reacts to. The downside is that all your pots and pans need to be magnetic. Fortunately this is easy to test with any magnet (like a fridge magnet even).
You can get single stand alone induction burners for less than $100 if you want to try it out. Some are more powerful than others.
I've been wanting to replace my stove for a while and I still keep going back and forth between gas an induction. I still kind of prefer cooking on gas but there's some controversy about air quality and gas stoves. But I can tell you, if I don't get a gas stove... I'm gonna get an induction one.
