Basically this was the last moment for Poland before PiS would have started to massively fuck it up, to a state similar of Hungary's or Russia's. Neither state could be unfucked without either an armed uprising or some major foreign intervention, and the latter often goes for the worst. Hungary got Fidesz with a lot of help from the GOP.
If someone wants to help to unfuck Hungary: Russia supposedly has some compromising information in Viktor Orbán and a lot of his close associates, the most likely one is him (or some close associate) being photographed or being recorded on video receiving a case full of money right before the 1998 election, from the Russian Mafia. Other likely stuff would be him (or some close associate) giving the money to the Russian Mafia for some "favors", him beating his family, etc. While these are urban legends, it would be a shame for him if someone managed to leak them out into the public. Maybe even the GOP has some. Or maybe just hacking their trollfarm server would do wonders, which likely has dozens of security holes from it mostly employing Hungarian pensioners, who have the usual pensioner issues regarding security.
