So for those not aware: the two orgs losing their exemption are both focused heavily on helping the local indigenous community, and the ones keeping their exemption status have absolutely nothing to do with the local indigenous community.
[edit] also worth noting that after the mill closed down, CR pivoted heavily to being a desirable retirement community. Hence the seniors society, golf, etc. That’s where the community gets its money.
