likewise,

Traded in some books & came home with some new ones. Trade-size editions are my favorites. In fact one of these is a trade for the same book that was a hardback (my least favorite reading format).

Not counting e-editions, do you prefer paperback or hardback. If hardback, why? Just curious. @bookstodon

@likewise @bookstodon Paperback, because I liked to have at least one book on me at all times. (I’m not kidding, it was kind of a coping mechanism.). I would read under my desk in classes when I was bored, or at events where I was left to myself. These days, of course, my books can be on my cellphone, but I still prefer paperbacks over hardcover, because I can fit more of them in my bookcases! (Also price, but for similar price, smaller is still nice.)

Paperbacks for me, I like a little give when I'm holding a book. Being old school, I remember the day when you could slip a paperback in your back pocket. Doesn't work well anymore with all the tomes out there.
