Making bread this morning. Cinnamon sugar bread is up first. It's in the bread machine mixing now.
Now I just have to figure out what kind to make once that's done. I need another sandwich bread because the 15 year old made a pretty Italian loaf, but it's also small. It will only last today for sure.
Have any recommendations for good bread machine cookbooks? I am currently using The No Mess Bread Machine Cookbook and The Ultimate Bread Machine Cookbook.
@CindySue@bookstodon cinnamon sugar bread sounds amazing!! I have a bread cookbook I really like, but it's old. I'll post the name when I'm home. There's an oatmeal bread I make that's pretty good for sandwiches, and I also like this recipe from King Arthur. @CindySue@bookstodon so this is my favorite bread cookbook. It's from 2001 so hard to find! Here are the ingredients for a nice oatmeal loaf I make the most:
1 1/3 C water
2 tbsp maple syrup
3 1/4 C white flour
3/4 C wheat flour
1/2 C rolled oats
2 tbsp oat bran (I never have this so use ground flax seeds or ground oats)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
3 tbsp butter

1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
2 teaspoons yeast
1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Use sweet bread or white bread setting.
This looks really good. I'll see if I can make it - I don't use a bread machine, but bread's (mostly) just bread. I think I've got rolled oats in the house. I'll have to check.
