@NickEast I used to be chaotic evil until I discovered how hard replacing cherished books could be. (I also stopped reading in the bath. And shower.)

Nowadays I'm most often lawful neutral, sometimes true neutral, and sometimes chaotic good.

Apparently I'm 70% true neutral, 30% chaotic good.

But if I didn't have a proper bookmark or the scrap paper/receipt equivalent, I'd absolutely entertain the leaf of chaotic neutral, in a pinch.

TBH I'd use almost anything as a makeshift bookmark, or any of the other options, rather than going the dog-ear route...

Missed my favorite ADD special, a variant on neutral evil: just shove any nearby object (the edge of this magazine, the computer mouse) between the pages and set them on a shelf somewhere. You won't have trouble finding the page, but you might have trouble finding the book later. That's OK, just start reading the first one you locate!

Generally CG. LG only if the book comes with a ribbon. LE usually when reading at home and with e-books. CN if I was reading outdoors.

Hell, I'd use almost anything as a makeshift bookmark - up to and including small flattened children or animals, before going the dog-ear route...

However, if I read a physical book, I aim for true neutral, but easily end up as lawful chaotic or neutral evil (whatever is around and can be used, because my proper bookmark is in another room)
