@BigAngBlack@BlackMastodon@blackmastodon Such a great business to profile and such a refreshing change from startup tech bro vertical farming wild claims. Start with the community!
> The inaugural #Africa#Climate Summit was held in Nairobi this week, drawing delegates from across the world as well as climate campaigners to the streets
> Marvin Hayes, the founder of the Baltimore Compost Collective, wants Baltimore to ditch trash incineration, fight climate change and grow healthier food. “We’re going to spread some compost love in this city,” he says.
> A new climate report found that for every problem, there are a handful of potential solutions and several frontline communities already leading the way.
@stoicybele
I just keep thinking about the ignorant nonsense Tim Scott said at the debate, blaming this on African countries. It's infuriating. But the conversation continuing will shift the narrative @BlackMastodon@blackmastodon
Small farms like this are great. I would also love larger vertical farms that can grow things like chickpeas. Chickpea flour is nutritionally dense and makes great bread and pasta.
Excellent! This is huge! Bring Good Food To the People!
This gets my first ‘award’ in the ‘Stand In The Place Where You Live’, the idea being ‘ordinary’ people can implement good ideas that make great changes for the better for their communities!
Wishing Mr. Drake success and health in this commendable endeavor!
