So...not to drag this out, but people experience injury and illness in different ways. If the disability community is not open to hearing about how younger folks think about their bodies that is a problem. It's not ableism when he says he has an injury that impacted him. And it's not a comparison to what you are talking about. He is talking about his experience in a conversation with me, that in no way disregards your experiences..
