Look for improv classes in your area. There’s so many great scenes in movies and shows that are improvised. It’s also just a fun way to learn to think on your feet and adapt to all sorts of scenes and most if not all the skills you learn will carry over to acting as well as your everyday life. If acting is something you’ve never done before, this will help you gain confidence performing on stage and you’ll learn to collaborate with all sorts of people. I’d like to think it’s also less intimidating than an acting class, so might be a good place to start.

Some RPG tables are heavy on the RP. You might try your local game store.

If you have a local Renfaire, they often take on inexperienced folks for atmosphere. Very low bar of entry.
