Question: Locate a MacBook Pro from around 2008-2010

I had a friend who had an aluminum MacBook Pro around the late 2000s.

I was really jealous of him because his laptop had a full keyboard with a 10 key numpad at the right.

I am trying to find it now, but my Google-Fu is failing me. Too many results for external keyboards.

Can anyone locate a photo or number of the model that I’m looking for?

EDIT: Apparently it doesn’t exist. Thanks everyone!

(me currently trying to think what other laptop it must have been…) https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/bd8ba4cf-60e1-4d02-884c-0b0d91c23b15.jpeg

turbodrooler,

You may have been lusting after a Dell for a decade or more 😅

turbodrooler,

Haha 😂

MacPathfinder,

I believe your memory may be playing tricks on you. Even the larger 17” model MacBook Pros didn’t have a dedicated numeric keypad. What you probably remember is your friend using an Apple Magic Keyboard in front of his MacBook Pro. Several companies also sold dedicated USB numeric keypads in aluminum to match the MacBook Pro that he could have had right beside his laptop.

You can search here to see models and specs for every Mac ever made:

turbodrooler,

Awesome site! Will definitely bookmark that.

SuperStonker,

I’m 99% confident that they have never made a MacBook Pro with a built in numpad.

reallynotnick,

Yeah and not even the 17" PowerBook G4 had one. This machine did not exist.

turbodrooler,

My memory could be failing me…but I don’t think there ever was one.
