The inflammation that comes with them is a lot to manage. But like others have mentioned, too few leaves me in a brain fog. It has taken me decades, literally, to find a balance that works for me.
@theautisticcoach@actuallyautistic carbs make me feel awful so I need to avoid them but without carbs my brain doesn’t work, which makes me feel awful, so I need also need them.
I legit need to walk a tightrope of carbs-exercise-work-rest-sleep to feel alright and be functional at the same time.
@theautisticcoach@actuallyautistic I need to generally avoid them where possible outside of daily need, the highs/lows mess me up both mentally and physically
