Phase 1: (a year or so) Listening to Autistics on social media and thinking "That can't be autism because I do that too." Phase 2: (a month or so) Listening to Autistics describe my life exactly, except they were talking about themselves. Phase 3: (about a week) Self assessments (RBQ, RAADS-R, AQ) Phase 4: (a few days) Maybe I am. Phase 5: I am.
