But any given plan is inherently meaningless since they never ever ever go as intended and the infinite necessary mitigations and adjustments are exhausting. Instead, just agree that Thing should happen. Then when it Stars Happening, I will manage all the required objectives to completion.
Also, I am not in charge of the Thing. Even if you’re all completely convinced I am.
Not quite in the way you mean. I do like to know how the day is laid out and how far through our plans we are, and I'm uncomfortable if what we're doing now is overrunning and will have an impact on what we've planned for later. I'm much more aware of time than, I think, most people; certainly more than Helen. But I think I cope with changed plans reasonably well.
@AutisticAdam@actuallyautistic Oh yes. I believe all clock cycles are spent on mapping the propagation of changes this one change potentially brings with it.
@AutisticAdam@actuallyautistic yes, especially if it is a last-minute change. I spend a lot of energy thinking about what might happen in a situation. If the plans suddenly change, I need to dump that, and start again!
