@theautisticcoach@actuallyautistic I started realizing that I was masking about the same time as I was starting transition and I still have a hard time telling the difference between masking and (early on) being in the closet or later, acting cis. It’s just a double whammy of concealing everything about your thoughts and experiences while trying to decide what the other person wants and how to give it to them.
