@theautisticcoach@actuallyautistic Before I ever heard the term "masking" I referred to it as a persona, one I put on when in particular environments. And that's still what it is for me - a persona, not me. Something I pretend to be so I can pass more smoothly through that environment. It's work, simple as that.
